Travel Consultant

About the role

Thomson Safaris & Treks is looking for a dedicated Travel Consultant to join its guest services team. You will be the primary point of contact for travelers, guiding them from booking through departure and ensuring a seamless, memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional customer service via phone and email.
• Answer inquiries promptly and follow up to resolve any issues.
• Provide pre‑travel guidance on visas, flights, packing, budgeting and expectations.
• Manage bookings, keep accurate records of communications, payments and action items.
• Coordinate with ground operators to confirm logistics and ensure smooth itineraries.
• Develop deep knowledge of destinations through training and collaboration.
• Handle complaints with professionalism and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality, travel or a related field is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines consistently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player who can work independently and collaboratively.
• Genuine enthusiasm for travel and knowledge of diverse destinations.

• Proficiency with travel booking systems and related technology.
