Dioula‑English Translator – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Dioula‑English expert to join our remote team on a contract basis. The role focuses on high‑quality transcription, translation, and linguistic analysis to support AI language model training.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in both Dioula and English with precise accuracy.
• Mark timestamps for every transcribed segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyze and describe the emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues of speakers.
• Evaluate and critique grammar, syntax, and tone in both languages to improve model performance.
• Define and elaborate on conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure deliverables meet linguistic and quality standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving these languages.
• Ability to capture emotional nuance, tone, and speaker intent.
• Strong analytical mindset for grammar evaluation and feedback.
