Global HR Coordinator – WANALA Region

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Global HR Coordinator to support its operations across the WANALA region (West Africa, North Africa and Latin America). The role ensures compliant, high‑quality HR services for country offices in Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cameroon, Mali and Niger, working closely with a counterpart covering other regions and an HR Partner.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical HR advice and support to country teams and management.
• Review national employee handbooks, salary scales and policies for compliance with DRC global standards and local labour law.
• Monitor and support the rollout of global HR policies and initiatives in assigned countries.
• Conduct HR compliance audits and develop corrective action plans together with the HR Partner.
• Build capacity of HR teams and managers on policies, processes and systems, including the DRC Voices engagement survey.
• Lead or support recruitment processes for senior positions and oversee onboarding of senior staff.
• Contribute up to 20 % of time to global HR projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi‑country or humanitarian context.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and deliver results.
• Experience delivering training to HR staff and managers.
• Fluency in both French and English (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration or Social Sciences.
