Tax & Fixed Assets Accountant

About the role

The Tax & Fixed Assets Accountant will centralise all tax matters and ensure accurate tax declarations and compliance for VEB. The role also oversees the proper accounting of fixed assets for oil, LPG and lubricants, guaranteeing alignment with group standards and supporting finance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file income tax, withholding tax, corporate tax and solidarity tax returns; monitor quarterly advances and maintain access protocols to tax authority servers.
• Handle payroll and HRM taxes (IUTS, TPA, CNSS) and reconcile tax, customs and consultancy accounts.
• Update legal ledgers in collaboration with the legal manager and stay alert to legislative changes.
• Interact with tax authorities, issue tax certificates as required and support year‑end/month‑end closures.
• Manage fixed assets transactions: capitalization, transfers, disposals, monthly depreciation calculation, and SAP posting.
• Analyse and clean up work‑in‑progress (WIP) fixed assets, support asset verification, and coordinate CAPEX creation for depreciation runs.
• Produce monthly reconciliation reports in SAP, contribute to KPI targets and ensure 100 % compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or Audit.
• 2–4 years of experience in tax accounting.
• Strong rigor and maturity to interact effectively with tax authorities.
• Good understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) proficiency.
