HACT Internship – Innovative Programming Strategies

About the role

UNICEF’s Burkina Faso Country Office is looking for a motivated intern to support the Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfers (HACT) framework. The intern will work closely with the HACT Specialist to strengthen compliance, improve documentation, and assist with assurance activities that ensure transparent and effective cash transfers to implementing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and updating the HACT partner database, including risk ratings and assurance plans.
• Track FACE forms and cash‑transfer liquidation status.
• Review partner documentation for completeness and compliance with HACT procedures.
• Help coordinate assurance activities such as spot checks, programmatic visits, and audits.
• Prepare documentation for micro‑assessments and audits.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for HACT records.
• Support the preparation of dashboards and reports on HACT implementation status.
• Contribute to data analysis on financial risks, partner performance, and compliance trends.
• Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for partners on HACT procedures.
• Support the creation of training materials, guidance notes, and briefing documents.
• Schedule meetings with partners and assurance providers and handle follow‑up communications.
