Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications that leverage Copernicus data to address development, climate and environmental priorities across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver Earth Observation services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support early‑warning, climate, environmental, agricultural, water and biodiversity solutions.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and user uptake with African institutions and stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy dialogue, innovation and private‑sector engagement within the programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; French and/or Portuguese are an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services, preferably with Copernicus data.
• Experience working with African institutions and promoting user uptake is a plus.
