Senior Assistant – Energy

About the role

The Senior Assistant, Energy will support the implementation of the PULSE project, a EU‑funded initiative that promotes productive use of low‑cost solar energy for sustainable agri‑food livelihoods in Burkina Faso. Working closely with the GGGI Project Manager, consortium partners and government agencies, the incumbent will provide day‑to‑day technical guidance, conduct technical reviews, perform field follow‑up and carry out first‑level quality checks to ensure renewable energy solutions are safe, properly tracked and aligned with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous technical oversight across all energy actions within the consortium.
• Review project deliverables, technical reports and field data for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with CEAS’s Technical Coordinator and other partners to harmonise technical approaches.
• Support the Ministry of Energy and other government bodies in technical meetings and reporting.
• Monitor the implementation of renewable energy technologies, energy‑efficiency measures and climate‑smart agriculture practices.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency or climate‑smart agriculture projects.
• Proven ability to work in multi‑partner consortia and with government institutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for quality control.
• Excellent communication skills in English (French is an asset).
