Senior Sales Engineer

About the role

DataDirect Networks (DDN) is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to design and sell high‑performance storage solutions for AI, HPC, and data‑intensive workloads. You will work with customers across finance, life sciences, academia, and autonomous systems to translate complex data challenges into scalable, reliable architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand critical data challenges such as high‑frequency trading, genomics processing, AI model training, and sensor fusion.
• Translate technical requirements into elegant storage designs that balance performance, security, and data protection.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, from solution design to closing.
• Create BOMs, system architectures, and technical proposals for complex RFPs.
• Conduct live demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts, and performance benchmarking.
• Integrate storage solutions with GPU clusters, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and AI/ML frameworks.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in technical sales or solutions engineering.
• Proven track record designing storage solutions for AI/ML, HPC simulations, or data analytics.
• Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
