People Partner – Support (HR)

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a People Partner to support its call‑center teams in Burkina Faso and Mali. You will act as the HR liaison for the Support department, ensuring people initiatives align with business objectives and foster an engaged, high‑performing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Support department to design and execute an HR strategy that aligns with team OKRs, including talent allocation, change management and reporting line adjustments.
• Identify and drive organisational improvements such as structure redesign, employee engagement programmes and retention initiatives.
• Support Support Leads in performance‑management processes: regular feedback, 1:1s, coaching, career‑growth conversations, OKR setting, progress tracking, evaluations and PIP follow‑up.
• Audit employee sick‑time records for compliance and accurate documentation.
• Manage tenure changes for Benefit and Health Review (BHR) and ensure timely updates in HR systems.
• Maintain accurate employee records and reflect all changes in the HRIS.
• Handle work‑accommodation requests, coordinating with local medical professionals to implement appropriate adjustments.
• Prepare and deliver explanation letters for employees as needed and monitor adherence to HR policies.

• Proven ability to manage performance‑management workflows and talent‑allocation projects.
• Attention to detail for audits, record‑keeping and compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
