Mid-Level Video Editor (Performance Ads)

About the role

Bublishing is looking for a Mid-Level Video Editor to join its Performance Marketing team and create high-performing paid social ads for a fast-scaling DTC health and wellness brand. This is a fully remote role with no commute, and it is not a traditional video editing job: the focus is on ads that grab attention, communicate clearly, build trust and drive conversions. The editor works closely with the Lead Video Editor to raise the standard of performance creative.

Key responsibilities

• Edit high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other paid social platforms, using AI-generated assets, UGC, stock footage, motion graphics, voiceovers and organic clips.
• Build strong openings, scroll-stopping hooks, pattern interrupts and retention-focused sequences, adapting edits to creative strategy, ad performance and feedback from Creative Strategists and Media Buyers.
• Produce multiple variations and iterations of winning ads quickly.
• Use AI tools such as VEO3, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Seedance, Runway or Kling AI to create, enhance and iterate video assets, with attention to natural lip sync, voice matching and believable human performances.
• Analyse winning ads to identify patterns, hooks, pacing and formats, and share those insights with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong experience editing paid social ads and short-form performance creative.
• Experience editing for Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts or similar platforms.
• Ability to work with both AI-generated and organic assets, and to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines in a high-volume environment.

Required skills

• Advanced understanding of retention editing, pacing, hooks, pattern interrupts, engagement-driven storytelling and direct-response editing.
• Hands-on experience with AI video/audio tools and AI prompting, including natural lip sync, voice cloning and realistic AI-generated scenes or characters.
