Legal Data Analyst – Remote

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret legal and regulatory data to support decision‑making, compliance oversight, and risk management. Working remotely, you will bridge legal expertise with data analytics, turning contracts, case records, and policy documents into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs for accuracy and relevance.
• Support regulatory compliance by interpreting emerging requirements and embedding them into processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and management reports using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Lead automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Optimize deployment of legal technology tools, including AI‑driven solutions.
• Map external regulatory intelligence data to internal models and ensure data quality.
• Assist in implementing data governance practices for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property or privacy law.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis.
• BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with large language model prompt engineering and evaluation.
