Junior HR Business Partner – West Africa

About the role

Traness, an energy solutions company operating within the Transsion ecosystem, is expanding across Francophone West Africa. We are seeking a Junior HR Business Partner to drive recruitment and support people operations in Burkina Faso and neighboring markets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an HRBP partner to business teams, handling employee relations, onboarding, probation follow‑up, engagement, attendance tracking and daily HR operations.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for Francophone West African markets, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer follow‑up and onboarding support.
• Develop and maintain recruitment channels such as LinkedIn, local job boards, referrals, agencies, universities and professional networks.
• Support talent mapping, salary benchmarking and market intelligence to improve hiring effectiveness.
• Partner with hiring managers and HQ HR to understand workforce needs and ensure timely recruitment delivery.
• Maintain accurate employee records, ensure compliance with local labour laws and assist with HR reporting and headcount tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law or a related field.
• 2–4 years of HR experience with strong hands‑on recruitment background.
• Good understanding of HRBP functions and the employee lifecycle.
• Fluent French required; English must be workable for meetings, emails and reporting.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
