Information Extraction Specialist

About the role

The Information Extraction Specialist will design and operate end‑to‑end pipelines that transform unstructured and semi‑structured content into clean, structured datasets. Working remotely, you will collaborate with data scientists, domain experts and annotation teams to deliver high‑quality extraction solutions for diverse document types.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain extraction pipelines for legal contracts, medical records, financial reports, news articles and technical documentation.
• Create and manage high‑quality training data, define sampling strategies, lead annotation teams and ensure rigorous quality assurance.
• Evaluate model performance using precision, recall and F1, analyse errors and iterate on guidelines, data or model architecture.
• Assess, integrate and customise open‑source and commercial extraction tools and platforms.
• Automate workflow steps with scripts and adapt systems quickly to new domains or document formats.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information extraction, NLP or computational linguistics.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and NLP tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English, with ability to document complex guidelines.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and experience interpreting extraction metrics.
