Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our multi‑skilled team of accountants, bookkeepers and finance directors. You will provide bespoke financial management services to a portfolio of charities, social enterprises and other purpose‑led organisations, helping them achieve both mission‑driven outcomes and sound financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and financial projections.
• Deliver clear financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and work with budget holders to set and monitor budgets.
• Maintain the balance sheet, reconcile control accounts and ensure strong financial controls.
• Produce project and grant reports, and prepare annual accounts in line with regulatory standards.
• Support board, leadership teams and staff in improving financial understanding.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent accountancy qualification.
• Background in management accounting or business partnering, preferably within the not‑for‑profit or service sector.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.

• Xero (cloud accounting platform).

• Microsoft Office suite applications.
