Document Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

The Document Analyst is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and analyzing a wide range of documents to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and regulatory compliance. Working remotely, you will support operational integrity by detecting discrepancies, fraud, and procedural gaps across identity, financial, legal, and medical documents.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate data extracted from IDs, proof‑of‑address, financial statements, contracts, and medical forms.
• Identify sophisticated document fraud, including photoshopped IDs, counterfeit documents, and deep‑fake attempts.
• Apply forensic techniques to detect anomalies in security features such as holograms, watermarks, and microprint.
• Handle edge cases involving damaged, non‑standard, or unfamiliar jurisdiction documents.
• Collaborate with Policy and Product teams to create and refine annotation guidelines.
• Provide feedback to ML engineers and data scientists on model performance and OCR errors.
• Perform quality checks on annotations and maintain high inter‑annotator agreement.
• Ensure workflows comply with KYC, AML, GDPR, and eIDAS regulations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline review processes and reduce manual touchpoints.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in document analysis, identity verification, KYC/AML operations, or data extraction.
• Deep knowledge of global identity, financial, and legal documents.
• Proven ability to detect sophisticated fraud and manipulation techniques.
• Experience with document verification tools, OCR software, or annotation platforms.
• Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, or CSV.
• Strong understanding of KYC/AML frameworks and data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
