Accounting Intern

About the role

This entry‑level Accounting Intern will support the finance team with day‑to‑day accounting activities and general administrative tasks. The role is based in a standard office environment and offers exposure to a variety of finance processes within a mission‑driven organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the accounting team by scanning and organizing backup documents, entering transactions, and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain supporting documentation, and help with expense management system administration.
• Support petty‑cash, accounts payable, employee credit‑card, and reimbursement processes, ensuring compliance with policy.
• Research outstanding payments, credit‑card balances, and resolve accounts‑payable discrepancies.
• Provide general administrative assistance, including scanning invoices, data entry for vouchers, and processing expense reports.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• No prior work experience required beyond the minimum education requirement.
• Commitment to child protection policies and organizational ethical standards.
