Tax & Accounting Manager

About the role

Huawei is hiring a Tax & Accounting Manager in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Candidates of all nationalities are welcome, provided they are willing to relocate to Burkina Faso. Fluency in English and French is mandatory. The position is a Huawei employee contract (1-year fixed-term, renewable) signed directly with Huawei.

Key responsibilities

• Implement tax compliance according to Burkina Faso laws and regulations and internal business requirements.
• Handle tax calculation, filing and payment, and regularly apply for tax qualifications.
• Provide tax compliance solutions for new business scenarios, changes in tax laws and accounting policies.
• Identify and manage tax risks and respond to tax audits and inquiries.
• Handle basic communication with tax authorities.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience in tax and accounting; Big Four firm or multinational experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CFA preferred.
• Good understanding of Burkina Faso tax law or other OHADA countries.
• Able to handle high pressure, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English and French; the work language at Huawei is English.
• Able to travel internationally to neighbouring countries for short-term assignments.
