Superintendent, Technical Piping

About the role

The Superintendent, Technical Piping is responsible for overseeing all piping and outfitting inspections on board Royal Caribbean vessels, ensuring compliance with approved documentation, contractual specifications, and classification standards. The role works closely with shipyards, the site office machinery department, and suppliers, and participates in factory acceptance tests worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections and patrols of piping systems in accommodation areas.
• Monitor execution processes, plan approvals, milestones, and commissioning of equipment such as pools, RWF, hotel, laundry, firefighting, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate inspection and commissioning records and contribute to monthly construction status reports.
• Address remarks, defects, and non‑conformities from previous projects or guarantee claims.
• Prepare delivery documents, protocols, and coordinate with classification societies and regulatory bodies.
• Support proactive technology development and ensure safety processes are followed on board.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marine piping inspection and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of classification society standards and shipbuilding regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with shipyards, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail‑oriented with solid documentation and quality‑control skills.
