About the role

Citland is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead geosynthetics installation projects across West Africa. The role reports directly to the Director of Geosynthetics and involves planning, executing, and supervising large‑scale mining and industrial waterproofing works.

Key responsibilities

• Organise personnel, equipment and material mobilisation for multiple sites.
• Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.
• Manage technical teams, resolve on‑site issues and coordinate with clients and internal quality assurance.
• Oversee production tracking, quality control procedures and reporting.
• Support the evolution of the function towards broader project and team management responsibilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience installing geosynthetics.
• Previous senior supervisory roles such as Senior Supervisor, Site Manager or similar.
• Willingness to reside in West Africa and travel between project sites.
• Fluency in French and/or English is a plus.
• Experience in mining, tailings storage facilities, heap leach, ponds or large waterproofing projects is highly valued.

Required skills

• HDPE geomembrane installation.
• LLDPE geomembrane installation.
• Welding techniques for geomembranes.
• Quality control (QC) procedures.
• Operation of installation and maintenance equipment.
• IAGI‑CWT certification (preferred).
• Thermofusion of HDPE/PE100 piping (preferred).
