Senior Finance Associate (G-7)

About the role

The Senior Finance Associate provides specialized support across finance functions for UNICEF in Ouagadougou. Working under the Finance Officer NO2, the role ensures accurate, timely financial operations in line with UNICEF rules and regulations, while researching and adapting to irregular cases and recommending process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and oversight to transactional finance teams.
• Enable informed decision‑making through accurate financial reporting.
• Drive continuous process improvement and recommend enhancements.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support system enhancements and contribute to finance system upgrades.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education.
• Professional or university‑level courses in Accounting and Finance.
• Relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an international or NGO setting.
