People Programs Manager

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs a People Programs Manager to own, redesign, and scale its talent development initiatives. You will ensure that rotation participants, interns, and employees on short‑ or long‑term assignments have a structured, supportive, and impactful experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of the Cross‑Departmental Rotation Program across existing and new markets.
• Own the Undergraduate Internship Program, from hiring liaison to onboarding, mentorship, and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate Short‑Term Assignment (STA) and Long‑Term Assignment (LTA) deployments, handling offers, logistics, and ongoing check‑ins.
• Maintain consistent scoring, fairness, and data‑driven improvements for all programs.
• Document program guidelines, identify expansion opportunities, and run design review sessions with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Highly organized with a structured approach to program management.
• Strong analytical mindset; able to use data and feedback to continuously improve initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across multiple countries.
• Experience designing or scaling talent development, internship, or rotation programs.
