Tax & Fixed Assets Accountant

About the role

The Tax & Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate tax declarations, compliance with tax regulations, and proper accounting of fixed assets for oil, LPG, and lubricants operations. The role acts as the first line of defense against tax risks and collaborates closely with finance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file income, withholding, corporate, and solidarity tax returns; monitor quarterly advances.
• Maintain access protocols to tax authority servers and manage payroll & HRM tax obligations.
• Reconcile tax, customs, and consultancy accounts; update legal ledgers with the legal manager.
• Monitor legislative changes and adjust tax processes accordingly.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closures, including fixed‑asset depreciation calculations, capitalization, transfers, and disposals.
• Analyze and clean up work‑in‑progress (WIP) fixed assets, support SAP KPI targets, and produce verification reports.
• Assist the Finance Controller in ensuring 100% compliance with documented controls.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Audit.
• 2‑4 years of experience in tax accounting.
• Strong rigor and ability to interact with tax authorities.
• Attention to detail, negotiation skills, and interpersonal competence.
