Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client, a leading company in its industry, is looking for a dedicated and detail‑oriented Financial Accountant. You will manage financial transactions, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, supporting strategic decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts in accordance with IFRS.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation and approvals for all financial transactions.
• Assist in the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial information to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and perform periodic asset verifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on financial initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA qualification is mandatory.
• 4‑6 years of experience as an accountant or in a similar role, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.
