Supply Chain Manager – Mining Operations

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will provide strategic direction and oversight for procurement, warehousing, logistics and inventory control to ensure uninterrupted, cost‑effective mining operations at the Sabodala site. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role is responsible for governing commercial contracts, optimizing working capital and implementing best‑practice supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end procurement function, from requisition through delivery, and resolve non‑conformance and payment issues.
• Develop, improve and execute procurement plans, procedures and documentation.
• Identify and maintain a list of approved suppliers, supporting internal customers with material and spare‑part requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with corporate governance and purchasing policies, taking corrective action as needed.
• Develop key performance indicators and allocate resources to achieve cost‑saving, quality and sourcing goals.
• Prepare and monitor the operating and capital budgets for procurement and inventory services.
• Manage warehousing and site logistics activities, overseeing daily inventory control and logistics planning.
• Address supplier complaints, non‑compliance issues and implement preventive actions.
• Promote local content by developing a procurement plan that increases market share for local and national companies.
