Remote Companion (Chat Operator)

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is a group of social discovery companies that turns virtual intimacy into the new normal, connecting people online across cultures and regions. It is looking for Companions, chat operators who communicate with users across its products and help them feel less lonely through consistent, warm and emotionally engaging conversations. The role is full-time and remote.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with users in chat and keep conversations active and engaging
• Respond quickly and keep the dialogue natural, warm and consistent
• Adapt your style to different users, moods and intents, and help users feel heard and involved
• Follow internal communication guidelines and report issues or inconsistencies
• Stay focused and reliable while handling a high volume of routine chat

Required profile

• Fluent written English; French or Spanish is a plus
• Strong text-based communication skills and confidence with a PC, smartphone and messaging apps
• Readiness for routine, high-volume chat and the ability to stay focused during shifts
• Responsibility, reliability and ability to follow an agreed schedule
• Open-mindedness and stress resistance with different types of users
• Ability to follow guidelines, accept feedback and adapt your style
• Basic understanding of communication psychology, emotional engagement or customer support is a plus
