Project Officer – Migration Programs

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to coordinate and implement the Migrant Protection, Return, and Reintegration (MPRR), Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) and Community Stabilization projects in Burkina Faso. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with the Regional Office for West and Central Africa, the role ensures effective project delivery in line with IOM policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate project implementation, monitoring budget, administrative and technical aspects.
• Track project progress, assess effectiveness and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance of partners and consultants with project terms.
• Assist the Programme Coordinator in maintaining liaison with donors, partners, IOM country offices and the regional office.
• Strengthen partnerships with government entities, UN agencies, NGOs and local stakeholders.
• Manage project information, visibility materials, updates and press releases.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission.
• Capacity to coordinate with multiple internal and external partners.
• Willingness to operate in Burkina Faso and travel as needed.
