Mining Key Account Manager – Burkina Faso

About the role

Our client, an international leader in heavy equipment for mining, construction, energy and material handling, is expanding its mining activities in West Africa. They are seeking a Mining Key Account Manager to be based in Burkina Faso and drive sales of mining machinery and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture business relationships with mining companies and subcontractors in Burkina Faso.
• Identify sales opportunities, conduct commercial prospecting and negotiate offers and contracts.
• Design and execute key‑account development strategies to grow the client portfolio.
• Promote mining equipment, monitor tenders and track mining projects.
• Coordinate with technical, after‑sales service and spare‑parts teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain regular customer‑satisfaction follow‑up and provide competitive intelligence.
• Prepare periodic commercial activity reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in Business Administration, Mining, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience selling mining, construction or industrial equipment, with proven key‑account management success.
• Strong knowledge of the mining sector in Burkina Faso and West Africa.
• Fluent French and proficient English; Chinese is a plus.
