IT Technician

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a skilled IT Technician to keep its office technology running smoothly. You will be the go‑to person for hardware, network and ticket‑based support, ensuring employees can work efficiently across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face and ticket‑based end‑user support, handling complex requests.
• Manage ticket queues, maintain SLA compliance and act as an escalation point for L1 technicians.
• Deploy, recover, troubleshoot and inventory employee and office hardware.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, procurement and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot local network, connectivity and infrastructure issues independently.
• Identify recurring problems, recommend improvements and document solutions.

Required profile

• Experienced technician capable of working independently.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and operational discipline.
• Sound judgment and the ability to act as a reliable escalation point.
• Excellent communication skills for on‑site interaction and vendor coordination.
