Inventory and Warehouse Superintendent

About the role

The Inventory and Warehouse Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the safe, timely, and accurate handling of equipment, supplies, and hazardous materials on site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the role ensures that all logistics activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and tactical transport and logistics plans for raw materials, specialty chemicals, parts, and consumables.
• Track inventory control, stock rotation, and procurement quality using ERP systems.
• Communicate the strategic vision of transport supply to service providers and internal clients.
• Create and optimise a global transport network (sea, air, rail, land) to minimise costs while meeting service standards.
• Implement continuous improvement processes for cost reduction and service enhancement.
• Supervise warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with SOPs, policies, and safety regulations.
• Manage reception duties, identify discrepancies (surplus, shortages, wrong parts, damages) and report them through ERP modules.
• Enforce proper storage techniques for equipment and hazardous materials and provide related training.
• Monitor stock conditions to prevent deterioration, corrosion, or damage during storage and transit.
• Coordinate transportation and restocking activities in line with company policies.
• Evaluate third‑party logistics providers, update non‑compliance documentation, and oversee bulk product management communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, supply‑chain, or warehouse management.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems for inventory and transaction tracking.
• Familiarity with hazardous‑material handling, storage regulations, and safety training.
• Ability to develop transport strategies across multiple modes (sea, air, rail, land).
• Excellent analytical skills for monitoring stock conditions and performance indicators.
