Financial Industry Account Manager

About the role

Huawei is seeking a Financial Industry Account Manager to lead the development and management of key financial institution clients across West Africa. Based in Ouagadougou, you will act as the primary liaison for banks, central bank branches, insurance firms, and fintech enterprises, driving the adoption of Huawei’s ICT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Independently acquire and nurture relationships with senior decision‑makers in West African financial institutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract signing, delivery coordination, and payment collection.
• Promote Huawei’s financial‑industry portfolio, including financial cloud, data centre, network transmission, core banking reconstruction, security, compliance, and intelligent operation solutions.
• Coordinate with pre‑sales, delivery, finance, and compliance teams to resolve technical and commercial obstacles.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory policies to shape regional sales strategies.
• Develop and manage partnerships with local system integrators and channel partners for joint customer development.
• Ensure strict adherence to Huawei’s global compliance policies and local financial regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science or IT.
• Minimum 2 years of B2B large‑account sales experience within the West African financial sector.
• Existing network of decision‑makers in local banks or financial institutions is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English and a local language (Yoruba, Igbo or French) with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Deep understanding of West African financial supervision systems, banking structures and procurement processes.
• High goal orientation and ability to thrive under performance pressure.
