Dioula Transcription & Annotation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Dioula and English expert to transcribe and annotate video content. This remote contract position supports the development of language models by providing high‑quality linguistic data.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video recordings in Dioula and English with precise accuracy.
• Insert clear timestamps for each transcribed segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyze speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues, documenting subtle nuances.
• Review and critique grammar, syntax, and tone in both languages to improve model training.
• Define and elaborate on conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure deliverables meet linguistic quality standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Able to capture and articulate emotionality, tone, and intent in spoken content.
• Detail‑oriented with experience using transcription tools and timestamping.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate grammar and provide comprehensive feedback.
