Dioula Transcription & Annotation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Dioula Transcription & Annotation Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. The role supports the development of AI language models by providing high‑quality transcriptions and linguistic analysis of video content in both Dioula and English.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video recordings in Dioula and English with strict accuracy.
• Insert precise timestamps for every segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyse speakers’ emotional tone, intent and non‑verbal cues and document them.
• Review and critique grammar, syntax and tone in both languages to improve model training data.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and expressions to enrich AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure all deliverables meet linguistic quality standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation or transcription involving these languages.
• Strong ability to capture and describe emotional nuance and speaker intent.
• Detail‑oriented with experience using transcription tools and creating accurate timestamps.
• Analytical mindset for evaluating grammar and providing comprehensive feedback.
