Data Specialist

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Ouagadougou is seeking a Data Specialist to support the implementation of the UN 2.0 reform. The role focuses on building data systems, analytics, and visualisations that help monitor progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems and analytics to improve statistical efficiency and quality.
• Support the creation of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) products, including dashboards and the annual United Nations Country Results Report.
• Produce interactive and static data visualisations using tools such as Power BI and other visualisation platforms.
• Lead capacity‑building activities, delivering trainings and data‑clinics for UN staff and national partners.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and national statistical agencies to improve data flows, ensure interoperability and align with the Cooperation Framework.
