Counter-IED SME Curriculum Developer/Instructor

About the role

Amentum, the contract service provider for the U.S. Department of Justice ICITAP program, is seeking a Counter‑IED Subject Matter Expert to design and deliver specialized curricula for foreign law‑enforcement agencies in Burkina Faso.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and deliver curriculum course materials, including instructional plans, exercises, evaluations, and job aids.
• Base training solutions on current and anticipated tactical, operational, and strategic threats.
• Observe courses, evaluate effectiveness, and maintain curriculum materials.
• Supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership to assigned staff and SME contributors.
• Maintain accurate curriculum development and instructional records.

Required profile

• Qualified in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) or Special Operations Force (SOF) or Combat Arms with 5–7 years of operational and deployment experience.
• Formal instructor certification in law enforcement, military, or commercial settings.
• Significant experience developing C‑IED curricula for target audiences.
• Proven ability to apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and theories.
• Capable of working under general direction with minimal supervision.
