Social & Behavior Change Immunization Officer

About the role

The Social & Behavior Change (SBC) Immunization Officer will provide technical and operational support to design, implement, and monitor evidence‑based SBC strategies that increase demand for immunisation services in Burkina Faso. The role works closely with government partners, communities and civil society to achieve sustainable improvements in child immunity.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of the SBC strategy aimed at increasing utilisation of vaccination services.
• Advocate, create networks and build partnerships to strengthen vaccine uptake.
• Generate and use research, data and evidence to inform SBC activities and monitor/evaluate their impact on health and vaccination indicators.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building within the immunisation programme.

Required profile

• University degree (bachelor’s or higher) in social sciences such as sociology, anthropology, communication for development, psychology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in social development programme planning, communication for development, social and behaviour change, public advocacy or a related area.
• Fluency in French is required.

Required skills

• Experience in partnership building, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
