Senior Corridor Performance Observatory Expert

About the role

NTU International is looking for a Senior Corridor Performance Observatory Expert to lead the design, implementation and operation of Corridor Performance Observatories across the ECOWAS region. The role supports the EU‑funded Technical Assistance project aimed at improving transport governance, corridor efficiency and regional connectivity in West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Support the establishment and operationalisation of regional and national Corridor Performance Observatories.
• Provide technical assistance on corridor performance monitoring systems, logistics indicators and transport analytics methodologies.
• Develop harmonised data‑collection methodologies and performance frameworks for transport corridors.
• Advise on the design of digital dashboards, observatory platforms and real‑time monitoring tools.
• Ensure interoperability between national observatories and regional transport monitoring platforms.
• Prepare performance reports, analytical studies and logistics assessments.
• Monitor key indicators such as border crossing times, transport costs, infrastructure conditions and logistics efficiency.
• Coordinate with ECOWAS institutions, customs authorities, transport agencies, corridor stakeholders and development partners.
• Deliver workshops, training sessions and capacity‑building activities related to corridor observatories and logistics monitoring.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in transport economics, logistics, data analytics, information systems, transport planning or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in corridor performance monitoring, logistics analysis, transport observatories or infrastructure data systems.
• Proven experience on transport, logistics or regional integration projects in developing countries, preferably in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Experience with international development cooperation and donor‑funded programmes.
