Project Management Support – Senior Officer

About the role

The Senior Officer provides analytical and operational support for two UN‑led projects in Burkina Faso: the PROMIS anti‑trafficking initiative and the UNODC‑UNDP children protection programme. The role ensures that project activities are planned, executed and reported in line with donor expectations and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and regularly update detailed implementation plans, monitoring scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Provide logistical and operational support for missions, workshops, and stakeholder dialogues, including preparation of materials and reports.
• Integrate sustainability, social inclusion and gender‑equality considerations throughout project cycles.
• Conduct field missions to verify implementation progress and assist local partners.
• Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of narrative and financial reports, ensuring compliance with UNODC and donor standards.
• Track performance indicators, maintain dashboards and issue early‑warning alerts on deviations.
• Deliver quality assurance for all project deliverables and documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with national authorities, donors, partners and grantees; organise steering‑committee meetings and technical workshops.
• Support the design and delivery of training sessions on project‑management best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex development projects, preferably in the humanitarian or anti‑trafficking sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a challenging field environment.
