Head of Partnerships – Burkina Faso

About the role
PalmPay is seeking a senior leader to own and expand its partnership ecosystem in Burkina Faso. Reporting to the Group Chief Commercial Officer, you will drive strategic collaborations with banks, electronic money institutions, wallets, and payment processors to enable the company’s fintech services across the market.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute PalmPay’s partnership roadmap with sponsor banks, settlement banks, issuing and acquiring partners, and wallet operators.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, commercial terms, service level agreements, settlement structures, and risk allocation.
- Build and maintain relationships with the BCEAO / UEMOA payments ecosystem, coordinating with compliance, legal, product, risk, and commercial teams.
- Enable institutional layers for collections, payouts, merchant acquiring, card acceptance, settlement, and wallet interoperability.
- Collaborate with regional teams in Africa, China, and Asia on approvals, certifications, localization, partner implementation, and risk controls.
Required profile
- Proven experience establishing and managing partnerships with financial institutions, EMIs, and payment ecosystem players.
- Strong understanding of the West African banking and payments regulatory environment.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive commercial growth through strategic access and institutional execution.
