Dioula‑English Translator – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual expert to transcribe and translate video content between Dioula and English. The role is fully remote and offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video material in both Dioula and English with high accuracy.
• Insert precise timestamps for every transcribed segment.
• Analyse speakers' emotional tone, intent and non‑verbal cues.
• Review and critique grammar, syntax and tone to support language‑model training.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure linguistic quality and delivery standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation or transcription involving these languages.
• Ability to capture and describe emotional nuance and speaker intent.
• Familiarity with transcription tools and meticulous timestamping.
• Strong analytical skills for grammar evaluation and feedback.
