Dioula Linguistic Specialist – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Dioula and English expert to support the creation of high‑quality language data for AI models. This remote contract position involves transcribing video content, analysing tone, and providing detailed linguistic feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe Dioula and English video material with strict accuracy.
• Insert precise timestamps for every segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyse and describe speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Critique grammar, syntax, and overall tone in both languages to improve model training.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure deliverables meet linguistic quality standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Ability to capture and articulate emotional nuance and speaker intent.
• Familiarity with transcription tools and meticulous timestamping.
• Strong analytical skills for grammar evaluation and comprehensive feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audio/video transcription software.
