Associate, Malaria Case Management & Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Associate will support malaria case management and supply chain activities in Burkina Faso, working closely with the Ministry of Health and the Secretariat Permanent de lutte contre le paludisme (SP‑Palu). The position contributes to the implementation of CHAI’s technical assistance, data use, and reporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the national malaria programme.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in revising malaria case‑management guidelines and integrating them into the 2026‑2030 National Strategic Plan.
• Support the development and costing of ACT transition scenarios and validate them with stakeholders.
• Provide technical assistance for disease surveillance, data reporting, and supply‑chain management.
• Participate in training of health‑facility staff and community health workers on case management and supply‑chain procedures.
• Collaborate with CHAI and local partners to monitor programme performance and generate evidence‑based recommendations.

Required profile

• Background in public health, epidemiology, or a related field.
• Experience working on malaria programmes, case management, or health‑supply‑chain projects.
• Familiarity with data collection, reporting tools, and health‑system strengthening approaches.
• Ability to work with government officials, NGOs, and international partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of malaria case‑management protocols and ACT medicines.
• Understanding of supply‑chain management principles in low‑resource settings.
• Experience with health data analysis and reporting.
