Accountant – US GAAP/UK GAAP Expertise Required

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will work remotely, providing timely financial data that supports our business growth and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred: CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK).
• Reliable internet connection, backup power supply and a functional laptop.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
