Head of Product - Physical Information Products

About the role

Bublishing sells physical information products, with a hero product being a premium, beautifully designed book of condition-organized natural remedies and healthy recipes. Its customers are mainly women aged 55-80+ seeking practical health information. The existing team is strong at execution but needs a senior product leader to bring product vision and taste. The Head of Product reports to the Founder / CEO, works remotely worldwide, and is paid a flexible compensation range.

Key responsibilities

• Own product vision and roadmap: what to build next, how to improve existing products and how to expand the line.
• Ensure product design and quality meet a very high bar for usability, visual appeal and value.
• Analyse customer feedback, reviews, support calls and survey data to understand what customers want.
• Validate new concepts through testing before committing to full production.
• Lead the product development team and hire if needed.

Required profile

• Exceptional product taste, demonstrated by work that shows what makes a physical product feel premium and look beautiful.
• Experience designing and shipping physical products such as books, magazines, guides, cards or kits.
• Customer-obsessed and able to move fast, since development cycles are measured in weeks.
• Understanding of direct-response e-commerce, where a product must communicate its value instantly in an ad and a landing page.

Nice to have

• Experience in health, wellness or natural living content/products.
• Publishing, editorial design or content product background.
• Understanding of print production and manufacturing.

Success is measured over 90 days by deep immersion in customer data, a quality audit of current products, leading at least one product iteration with minimal founder input, and presenting a 6-12 month product roadmap with validation plans.
