Regional Lead (User Growth)

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs a dynamic leader to drive user growth in Burkina Faso. As the Regional Lead for User Growth, you will own the distribution strategy, recruit and manage field teams, and ensure new users become active, retained customers of Wave’s mobile wallet.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of supervisors and field distributors who recruit new users to Wave’s financial products.
• Identify and resolve critical blockers to user acquisition and active usage.
• Design and execute retention strategies for newly acquired users.
• Hire, train, and scale distribution personnel to meet quarterly growth targets.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for the distribution team, iterating on tactics to grow the customer base.
• Use data analytics to guide distribution decisions and monitor team performance.
• Collaborate with the agency team to align objectives and operationalize strategies.
• Share insights to shape Wave’s broader distribution strategy across the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing field sales or distribution teams in emerging markets.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision‑making.
• Excellent leadership and people‑development skills.
• Willingness to relocate within Burkina Faso and travel to other regions for short periods.
• Legal work authorization for Burkina Faso.
