Plant Operations Manager – Solvent & Expeller

About the role

The Manager – Solvent and Expeller will lead the day‑to‑day operations of our solvent extraction and expeller plants located in Centre, Burkina Faso. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for production planning, process optimisation and ensuring that safety, quality and environmental standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of solvent extraction and expeller lines, ensuring targets for output and cost are achieved.
• Plan production schedules, monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Analyse operational data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise plant teams, maintain accurate operational documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with quality, supply‑chain and sales functions to align production with customer demand.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience managing plant operations in solvent extraction or expeller‑based oil/fat manufacturing.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret production data and support decision‑making.
• Experience in capacity planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with basic industrial software tools and production reporting systems.
