Dioula Language Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Dioula expert to support our language‑model training initiatives. This remote contract position involves transcribing and analysing video content in both Dioula and English, ensuring high‑quality linguistic data for AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video material in Dioula and English with precise accuracy.
• Insert clear timestamps for every transcribed segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyse and describe speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Evaluate and critique grammar, syntax, and tone in both languages to improve model performance.
• Define and elaborate on conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the customer’s team to guarantee that deliverables meet linguistic and quality standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Ability to capture and articulate emotional nuance, tone, and intent in spoken content.
• Strong analytical skills for grammar assessment and comprehensive language feedback.

• Attention to detail in note‑taking and linguistic annotation.
