Advertising Compliance & Risk Lead

About the role

Bublishing sells natural health products through direct-response advertising to an older demographic, in a high-risk compliance environment. Its main risks are ad account shutdowns from platform policy violations and FTC or regulatory action from health-related claims. It uses an AI-powered compliance system that checks ad scripts and videos against a tiered framework, but needs a dedicated operational owner. This is a full-time, remote (worldwide) position reporting to the Founder / CEO, paid $2,500-$3,500 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Own the AI compliance system: maintain, test and improve the automated prompts that review creative output at scale.
• Keep the tiered compliance guidelines current with FTC guidance, platform policies and industry benchmarks.
• Balance catching genuine risks without blocking advertising performance.
• Run pre-publication review workflows for ads, advertorials, landing pages, emails and sales copy.
• Monitor platform policies across Meta, Google, AppLovin, TikTok and emerging channels.
• Track FTC enforcement actions, FDA guidance and state-level regulations.

Required profile

• Understanding of health and wellness advertising compliance: FTC guidelines, structure/function claims, testimonial rules and platform policies.
• Risk management mindset: knowing what is defensible, what is industry standard and what is a red line.
• Detail-oriented but pragmatic; compliance exists to protect the business, not stop it from growing.
• Nice to have: experience designing review workflows or QA systems at creative scale, and experience in categories where regulatory and platform-policy risk both matter.

Required skills

• High proficiency with AI tools and prompt engineering, including writing, testing and iterating prompts to flag risky content at scale.
